Wearable Antiquities
Archaeology is a practice of translation. Objects are excavated, catalogued, conserved, photographed and reproduced before entering the present. Wearable antiquities continue that chain of translation, carrying fragments of sculptural history out of the rubble and onto living bodies, where they are animated once again through movement, touch and friction.
Like weathered marble, each hand-pulled print bears subtle shifts in pressure, ink and fibre, making every garment a singular record rather than a reproduction.
Erected in Greece using locally grown cotton and hand screen printed in Athens by Tind.
